Having gotten past the two feet section, am now concentrating getting the vegetation done - then will go over and detail, adding texture and shading, before moving on to the next section.........

"FUGUE"
Have at long last begun work on my large scale pen and ink painting "Fugue"... since still not have the mural easel set up, will be working off the board, rolling and unrolling the canvas as work proceeds along... while the canvas is 52" high, the actual painting will be 3 feet, leaving white above and below the work, and will be bordered top and bottom with solid black lines as the work reaches to its 8 feet anticipated length... at the moment, am more outlining the visual, and as pass 2 foot sections, will then go back and fill in the detailing, giving the rocks and plants their definitions and dimensions...

"Pitter Patter" sold..........
was shown without framing at the Kaleisia Tea Lounge, where several of my works are now being shown, some with, some without frames........
[a side note, of interest to me, and perhaps others - was told by Kim the owner that many love my art very much, but not the subject matter - especially women, who seem to prefer flowers and fruits and such more than other kinds of still life... so what is painted makes a difference as to what is sold, no matter how great the skill of creation be... of course, am not one who will just do flowers, as many others have done - I have to theme my works - but at least there is a direction to think on in seeing if can increase sales based more on what is themed instead of that it is themed...]
in other words IT WAS THE BACKGROUND TREE WHICH SOLD THIS WORK, not the rest so much.....

The Overflowing Cup 16
Progress has been slow these past few days, but am now almost to the end of this... as such, am showing a close-up of the cup and the overflowing still being done on the cup itself... there is still more green to layer in on that uncovered area, but otherwise just needs get the rest of the cyan stippled and that will be the end of it...

The Overflowing Cup 14
Finished layering red earth acrylic ink over the stone shelf, and am now in the midst of layering process cyan to the overflow of the cup... there is more layering to do on the shelf, to bring it out and stronger in intensity - then the cup will be grisailled and coloring begun on that, to the completion of the painting...
