"Refueling Station" - WIP

Am doing something a little different here - have been studying Yang Tu-tang's works and am attempting to work with his techniques in doing a landscape from my mind, the difference being the technique mostly, seeking to make it as much like Yang's pseudo-photographic works.... these first photos show using a 107 nib which has been worn from several uses, but at the time all on hand to getting fine work - and for the foreground area seems to be ok...

have acquired a new set of nibs and will be using the 102 nib for the mid and distant parts, and probably deepening the detailing of the foreground, where seems needed....  black F W acrylic ink used on a 20"x30" board...

"Fruitfulness" - WIP

Because still having problems getting the very small figures for the second half of the 'Conquest" diptych, am turning for the time being to another work... this was inspired by a colored pencil painting by Jeff George called "Life and Death" - and I am doing a still life take-off or parody or sorts on it...  you can 'see' the reaper in the rotting fruit in the rear, only in this, he is heading out to the left, instead of going thru the crowd as in the original...

"Conquest of Loneliness - Inreach"

Am still in the process of sketching out the small figures needed for the second half of the diptych...  as soon as the four are down and looking right, then will begin laying out the rock and habitat, and fill in the rest of the background - and begin inking...
