"REcreation" WIP

Anniversary #7

Today marks the seventh year of this  -
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die." from Tennyson's ULYSSES...

I opened with "The Mother Lode" -
and in this coming year an doing a variation of it for the ongoing painting from my 'bucket list' - "REcreation", a pen and color ink painting on primed and prepared canvas, 30"x48"... carrying on this seeking the newer world, the world where the visual art is consciously themed and glorifying being human, preferably through use of metaphors...

and so I sail on.............
