A momentary break -

for a possible sale... am copying an earlier work that has become somewhat damaged, but which someone loves very much... as soon as is done, will be back on The Hanging Gardens...

note that on some of the rocks, I have gone over the lit edge with white ink to remove the 'cartoonish' look... when the ground is in all the way, the rest will be done as likewise...

and this garden is grisaille finished - the pond, like the others, will be filled in when coloring the whole painting...

the shadows still need be put in, but otherwise the grisaille of this garden is done...

turns out 'raking' the sand is much harder on my hands than doing the grass... but another couple of rounds ought to get this finished...
