beginning to glaze the colors - first layering of the figure...
red earth for the hair, flesh for the lighter edges of the skin, Indian yellow for the darker ares of the skin...

note - need add the outer railing there...

A beginning something a bit different - am starting with acrylic paint [Pthalo Blue] on primed canvas, then detailing it with Prussian Blue ink for the foreground, and Rowney Blue for the midground...

redoing  the waves - the original idea did not come out as envisioned...

 finished the hair, and the scarf [see blow]... then doing the first layering of the coat with light green...

lemon yellow fr the lit hair, with raw sienna for the shade, topped with yellow ochre...

am stippling with F W Acrylic Flesh color ink for the lit face, and antelope brown for the shade, grading in the flesh into the shade for more rounding... all on top of a gloss medium coating over the grisaille..
