With best of intentions, sometimes the unexpected happens - finished the grisaille, but with some additions... but have worked out how to cover them and keep the balance....

have begun another  - 14"x9" - grisaille in progress here, prussian blue acrylic ink...

 continuing with this between book reading breaks...

As can be seen, some changes - mainly that the petals are now red earth and light yellow...  otherwise all is as before only more so...

Having finished my 'monster' painting, FUGUE, have turned to doing a small piece during breaks from catching up on my reading..........   as can be seen, is a work in progress, and here showing several degrees of the progress from the prussian blue grisaille...

Am using light green abd emerald green for the leaves, with some lemon yellow on the light fringes, and sepia on the dark side where is turning to woodiness...  the rock is flesh and antelope brown, and the base of the support is red earth and antelope brown... the flower is to be scarlet, if can get the lid off the bottle, and white streaks on the lit parts of the petals.....   the tray will be red earth...
