Am now into doing the islet, beginning with the right side - and the figure with an inviting mode...   how much of the foreground grasses will be laid remain to be seen - as is a balancing of the truncated rendering, since the indication of ground in the fore  is already down...

There is also the question of washes, seen on the figure - is it to be on other parts? a good chance, as it is a light version of shading, for light areas [which is why used on the figure]...  it is still being done with the pen and nib, so a large area is not to be seen, yet many small ones could become so [such as some of the grass blades, and perhaps some of the ridges of the tree]...  in any event, this will be decided after the rest is all rendered - the left side of the islet, the rock islet, and the distant mounds and cityscape outlines...
